Sutton’s Latest Recruit!
With over 200 years of gardening knowledge and expertise behind us, our enviable reputation for quality products does not stop there. Indeed, we never want to rest on our Laurels (or should that be Prunus laurocerasus?)
We constantly strive to provide the latest developments for gardens of all types and deliver new, exciting and improved flowers, fruit and vegetable varieties.
We are justifiably proud of our team of new plant & product developers, who travel widely, searching for unique and innovative new products to add to our complete gardening range. Recent success stories have included plant of the year at RHS Chelsea with our unique Dwarf Mulberry Bush and winning the People’s Choice at RHS Wisley for our exclusive Zinnia Molotov Seed Mix. We are equally delighted to announce an exciting new collaboration!
Suttons are very pleased to confirm the addition of industry expert, Michael Perry to their plant sourcing team.
Michael has been involved within the gardening world since he was just five years old. He has been listed in the Sunday Times top 20 most influential people in the gardening world, thanks to his ability to spot an exciting new variety or marketing opportunity, as well as having developed an extensive network of breeders, growers and producers.
Michael has a wealth of expertise in new plant introductions and has taken them on to many UK television shows. His mission here at Suttons will be to seek out the best, new, exciting and innovative plants, focusing on our flower range, and adding to our already strong supplier relationships.
Joining an existing creative and experienced team, Michael says, “My passion is plants, and I have enjoyed 18 years of bringing some very new and very different products to the marketplace. I shall continue this work with Suttons, and am looking forward to working with such a high-profile brand.”
MD David Robinson adds; ”From the first time I bumped into Michael I have been hugely impressed by his knowledge, enthusiasm and pure love of plants. I couldn’t be happier that he has decided to join us and the whole team are really looking forward to working with him and introducing an even broader range of exciting new plants and seeds to British gardeners.”
