The Law of the Jungle

Returning from only one week away I’ve found that the garden has turned into a jungle. On the down-side some of the weeds are making a take-over bid, the virginia creeper has gone bananas, and strawberries have been nibbled by public-enemy-number-one – the slug and snail gang.
On the up-side, though, the roses are smothered in flower and the clematis is in full bloom. The cherries and broad beans look mouth-wateringly good and full of promise, and the lettuces, radishes and rocket are ready for the salad bowl.  It’s going to be a good year for apples, raspberries and loganberries too.

Looks like it’s time to roll up the sleeves and tackle those weeds.

Sweet Juliet

The roses are beautiful
