The trial grounds – 1st April

Another visit to the trial grounds this week and Toby was busy making supports for his early french beans that he has grown in planters that have cane supports ‘in built’. Kept in the greenhouse – this means that there will be a really early crop of beans.

These cane ‘toppers’ are a much easier way of joining three canes together as you don’t have to root around in the shed trying to find string!

Spring has truly sprung, and to proove it i thought i would take a picture of this pear ‘Concorde’ that was potted up a few weeks ago and has now got some lovely blossom.
