RHS Rosemoor Flower Show August 2017

RHS Rosemoor is holding its first official flower show this coming August. Whether you are lucky enough to live in Devon or whether you will be holidaying then the dates for your diary are 18 – 20 August 2017. Book now for a  wonderful three-day floral extravaganza.

RHS Rosemoor is a wonderful garden to visit at any time of year. I’m a regular but no matter how many times I visit I always go home bursting with ideas to try in my own, if somewhat smaller, patch.
Nestling in a wooded valley RHS Rosemoor has ornamental gardens bursting with shrubs, roses, perennials and bulbs. Of all these wonderful sections my absolute favourite has to be the walled vegetable garden. Possibly because I enjoy seeing all the Suttons labelled vegetable and fruit varieties growing so well and strutting their stuff.
The fact that RHS Rosemoor is holding an official flower show this year gives yet another reason to visit. The show will highlight the very best the South West has to offer in terms of plant nurseries, atmosphere and local fare.
Unlike some other Flower Shows this one is being held in the actual gardens themselves. So space and crowding will not be an issue. With 65 acres to explore a visit to the show can be combined with several hours simply spent exploring the gardens.
‘We’re excited to be planning our first flower show and plans are already well under way to make this a major feature in our already extensive events calendar,’ says Curator Jon Webster. Well, I for one am certainly looking forward to it!

Show Highlights:

  • A wonderful selection of quality plants from West Country nurseries and beyond. This includes some hard-to-find plants.
    • Inspiring seasonal interest from the garden itself. In August the stunning Hot Garden will be filled with waves of late-season colour.
  •  Delicious food, from exhibitors and from the award-winning Garden Kitchen. There’s even an, oh so tempting, Flower Show Breakfast for the early birds to enjoy.
